1. Anonymous data processing
Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, no personal information is collected, processed or used when using our website.
2. Information collected
We collect personal information when you order via our website and when you use any of our products or services. Personal information is any information about you that is personally identifiable, such as your name, address, email address or phone number, child’s photo, other personal images and content, and any other information that is not otherwise publicly available.
We or our third party service providers may also collect information relating to your devices, including your device model, operating system, browser type, unique device identifier, IP address, mobile phone number, mobile network carrier, and location.
If you order products or pay for services, we will need your shipping address, billing name and address, as well as your credit card number and expiration date.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies, for example, are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser. They make it possible for us to store the contents of your shopping cart until you are ready to check out, recognize your browser when you visit and provide you with information about products that interest you. We use third-party service providers to serve ads on our behalf across the Internet and sometimes on our Site. No personally identifiable information is collected in this process. They do not know the name, address, email address, phone number or any personally identifiable information about the user.

We use third party information you provide to us solely to provide services you specifically request.

6. Protection of data and disclosure to third parties
Information that we collect is stored on secure servers using standard security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information in an effort to protect information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. Hand in Paw Books transmits the personal data encrypted over the Internet using the so-called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) method. However, providing personal information, whether it be in person, over the phone, or over the Internet, always entails risks, and no technological system is completely unaffected by manipulation or sabotage. Hand in Paw Books makes reasonable efforts to prevent and minimize the risk of unauthorized access to, and the unauthorized use or corruption of, personal information.
In principle, Hand in Paw Books will not disclose personal data to third parties, unless there is a legal obligation to pass it on or if a data transfer is required to carry out the contractual relationship. In this respect, the information provided by you for the purposes mentioned above, and to the extent necessary for the processing of your order or request, is exchanged with affiliate / partner companies. This is especially the case for printing and delivery. The amount of data transmitted is reduced to the minimum required.
If necessary, Hand in Paw Books may also make appropriate written statements, duplicate records against loss, create intermediate files or workspaces, and give such powers to third parties.
In the event that Hand in Paw Books is merged, sold, or in the event of a transfer of some or all of our assets, we may disclose or transfer non-personal information and personal information in connection with such a transaction.
7. Protecting children
Our Sites are general audience sites. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under the age of 18, we will delete such information from our records.
8. Customer service and company communications
To answer your questions, process your inquiries or resolve them, it is sometimes necessary to ask for personal information such as name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. Hand in Paw Books can use this information to answer your questions or to contact you by mail, e-mail or phone. If you request a service or upload data to this site, Hand in Paw Books may need to contact you to obtain additional information needed to process or execute your request. However, Hand in Paw Books will not disclose such information to third parties without your permission, except as required by law or to the extent necessary for the execution and processing of your requests or for your assistance.
You can opt in or out of receiving future communications from us about special offers and new product information, you can unsubscribe by following instructions contained in the messages you receive, or you can change your marketing preferences by contacting us through the Contact Us page of any of our brands. We do reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the services we provide, such as service announcements and administrative messages. We do not offer you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving those communications.
9. Confidentiality and security
We use a secure server (SSL) to encrypt your personal financial information. We use other physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the security and confidentiality of the information we have collected, and to prevent unauthorized access to or disclosure of your information.
